We're on Nature's Board
On Nature’s Board begins with a simple inversion:
Instead of asking how Nature can participate in our institutions, what happens when our institutions recognize themselves as participants nested within Nature?
A company is already inside a watershed. A city is already inside an ecology. An investment already moves through land, water, energy, materials and lives.
The question is whether our institutions can become perceptive enough to recognize the forms of intelligence and relational authority already present there and responsive enough to act accordingly.

We work with organizations to encounter the watershed, forest, landscape and/or bioregion they participate in as a source of intelligence. Through deep listening, ecological sensing and relationship with people who know the place, we begin to hear what conventional organizational information leaves out.

We explore financial mechanisms through which money can respond to the places it moves through, allowing ecological and community intelligence to influence how resources are held, allocated and returned.
